"Crix", Hatfield Peverel & Danbury, Essex - October 2nd

We all woke up very late this morning after our night in the cellar at Crix!  Michael Bowkett and Rita also stayed the night, so we all had a big, late breakfast out on the Terrace.  The girls went off to see the horses and look for more squirrels.  It's very beautiful here, the house is amazing and Tobe's old childhood friends are fantastic, and all very happy to have him back here.

Around midday, we headed off to visit Paul and Marisa Kelly.  They own Kelly Bronze Turkeys, renowned right across Europe - and Paul holding both the World record (against Gordon Ramsay) for both fastest turkey plucking and carving!  Turkey rolls for lunch by the pool - beautiful hot day again - a tour around the turkeys and a spin in Paul's Aston Martin, which the girls also loved!  Clouds insistently (and seriously) asking Paul if there was any possible way he could organise a way for her to meet the Queen, or anyone famous for that matter.

Back to Ian and Alison's quickly before heading off to the pub, where the masses had gathered to see Tobes, and home for a relatively early night.  London tomorrow. Only a week left - I can't believe how lucky we have been with the weather, and how spoilt we have been all the way.
The boys, off for a spin
