Torino - Bologna, Wednesday 14th Sept

This morning we went into town to see the Egyptian Museum, which was amazing. It's been in Torino since the 1800's and is apparently, now, the biggest exhibition of its type in the world (after part of the Cairo museum burnt down).  We've loved Torino, and Giorgio took two days off work especially to show us around.

In the afternoon, we caught our train to Bologna where we are now with friends, Mitch and Jayne Dowd and their gorgeous boys (Hunter and Ewan, 8) who have been living here for 5 months.

Bologna, from what I have seen of it so far, is stunning.  Mitch and Jayne have found an amazing apartment, right in the centre, in Santo Stefano.  It's really very, very beautiful. I've been completely blown away.  Jayne is really going ahead in leaps and bounds with her Italian, and even took me to my first ever book club - which was very animated!! The boys are at an International School here, and our four children them are all getting on like a house on fire.
